From August 28 to September 7, 2025, Venice will once again take center stage with the Venice International Film Festival, one of the year’s most anticipated events. The lights of the Lido will shine on directors, actors, and professionals from across the globe, turning the city into a truly international stage.
Yet there is one often invisible detail that makes this global dimension possible: language. At the Festival, films are screened in their original version, accompanied by subtitles in Italian and English. This is a crucial step, allowing both local audiences and international guests to fully experience the stories brought to life on the big screen.
And that’s not all: press conferences, interviews, and Q&A sessions with directors and actors often rely on the work of professional interpreters, who enable real-time dialogue between people speaking different languages. Without their careful and discreet contribution, the Festival would lose much of its international character.
This is exactly where we see a parallel with our own mission. Just like in cinema, in the worlds of business, culture, and events, communication can truly cross borders only through translation and interpreting.
