The Festival of Ideas 2025 promises to be a crossroads of thought and creativity, articulating into two separate but complementary events: the seventh edition in Venice-Mestre and the 16th edition of “Colloquia” in Foggia.
From Sept. 23 to Oct. 28, 2025, the Festival of Ideas will return to Mestre and Venice with the theme “The Way of Talents.” This edition aims to explore talent as a transformative force, involving international guests and expanding programming to new spaces in the Veneto region.

Among the events, the May 21 preview at 6:30 p.m. held at the Teatro Toniolo in Mestre featured U.S. writer Michael Bible in conversation with Angelo Pittro, director of Lonely Planet Italy, taking passages from his latest work Goodbye Hotel (Adelphi, 2025). A work that mixes lyricism and rawness, loneliness and hope, offering a visionary and decadent fresco of life in the remote U.S. province.
At the first preview meeting we at Finking, represented by our indefatigable Elena Finco as interpreter, joined Michael Bible and Angelo Pittro during the conversation.
