This Sunday, 6 April, the 45th edition of “Su e Zo per i Ponti” will take place in Venice.
The event is organised by TGS Eurogroup and consists of a “Solidarity Walk”, whose theme this year is “Wonder to Be Shared”. The City of Venice is known all over the world for its beauty and uniqueness and, in its own way, it is a true wonder to be shared – an invitation to discover the architectural treasures and works of art hidden in every corner of the city.
Founded in 1975, the event offers a unique opportunity to explore Venice through two evocative routes that wind across bridges and through narrow streets, providing an authentic perspective on the city.
This year’s first route both starts and ends in St Mark’s Square, the beating heart of the event, and covers 12.0 km, crossing as many as 49 bridges. The second route, particularly suitable for younger participants, starts at the Port of Venice and, after 5.7 km and 18 bridges, finishes in St Mark’s Square, where an award ceremony for the largest groups will also take place at the end of the event. Refreshment points will be available in Campo S. Alvese for the longer route and at the Port of Venice for the shorter one.
Su e Zo per i Ponti promotes not only physical activity, but also solidarity and inclusion – values that are close to our hearts at Finking. As every year, any proceeds from the participation fee and from the possible purchase of the event’s solidarity T-shirt will be donated to support Salesian projects in the Holy Land.
