On 14 April, the first edition of TEDx entitled ‘Balancing Act’ will take place in Venice. The theme of this edition takes inspiration from the city of Venice, which is balanced between different elements such as land and water and citizens and tourism.
This edition of TEDx addresses the current problem of achieving balance on both a personal and social level in the highly dynamic context in which we live, which is constantly changing and makes us face changes and challenges that we cannot foresee. The objective that ‘Balancing Act’ has set itself is to help find essential balances by addressing issues such as technological advances, ethical issues, the management of limited resources and the pressure to maximise productivity at the expense of individual well-being.
During the morning there will be workshops and laboratories both in the main TEDx venue, Terminal 103 on Tronchetto, and in characteristic locations in the city such as the Fornace Orsoni.
One of the scheduled workshops is a rowing experience together with the Pink Lionesses, a group of women who have undergone breast cancer surgery and who raise awareness about the fight against and prevention of breast cancer.
In the afternoon, on the other hand, the conference ‘Balancing Act’ will take place, where the theme of the day will be further explored through the stories and performances of numerous speakers and performers who will give interesting insights into how to find balance in a world that is constantly evolving.
