July is winding down and after a month spent between the heat and the to-do list, we couldn’t help but be reminded that July is also ‘plastic-free July’ month. This is a global movement urging millions of people to pledge to reduce the use of plastic, which inevitably ends up increasing the pollution of our planet.
The idea is to contribute day by day to the replacement, with more sustainable materials, of plastic in everyday use, whether in the workplace, at school, in the city, or in family homes.
More than 100 million people in 190 different countries have participated in this movement. Of course, the call is not only to commit to reducing waste in July, but also in the months and years to come. Precisely for this reason, we at Finking, on the strength of our EcoVadis certification, which aims to improve companies’ environmental and social practices, having taken part in the challenge for this month, renew our commitment and invite you to do the same because only by working together can we truly make a difference to this planet and the creatures that inhabit it.
