From 6 to 18 June, the Mestre Bookfest will be held in the city of Mestre. The event is conceived and organised by Confcommercio Mestre and the Venice City Council, with the technical support of Vela SpA and Ubik Mestre. The Festival brings together literary works by authors of various genres including: fiction, detective stories, novels by local authors, cookery, sport and comics.
Among the many internationally renowned guests, there will also be well-known faces from the entertainment world who will take the opportunity to present their latest publications. On Sunday 11 June, Malika Ayane will be in Piazza Ferretto, with her book ‘Anxiety of Happiness’, while on Friday 16 June Chiara Francini will present her autobiography ‘Forte e Chiara’, also in Piazza Ferretto.
This is an excellent opportunity for the inhabitants of Mestre to get to know and meet their favourite writers and artists. In fact, for each event there will be a space dedicated to ‘meet and greet’, and for some in particular there will also be meetings with lunch with the authors to be booked in advance.
