Christine CALDWELL | Bodyfulness: Somatic Contemplation as a Clinical Practice

Drawn from Phenomenology, Humanistic Psychology and Contemplative Practice, this course will focus on how to work with the client’s open and attentive awareness of present-moment bodily states, together with conscious and deliberate movement responses.

By centring on the client’s sensory experience, the body itself becomes a resource for healing and therapeutic change. In combination with a strong therapeutic alliance, this approach can enable clients to shape their own experience of how “the way I feel and move in this moment helps me resolve problems, access creativity, and find ways to activate myself.”

Participants will study four sequential methods that inform clinical practice and guide the therapeutic relationship.
