The “marGnet” project consortium represents a well-established partnership of organisations that have successfully collaborated on projects and initiatives in the past. The consortium brings together scientific and technical bodies, an innovative SME start-up and NGOs, which are able not only to support a holistic approach to the entire marine litter (ML) value chain, addressing prevention, removal and recycling aspects, but also to ensure its long-term sustainability.
The Mid-Term Meeting will represent an important opportunity to present the methodological approach adopted by the marGnet consortium to address the issue of marine litter on the seabed, as well as the results achieved after the first year of activities. The event aims to foster a critical discussion with the scientific community and relevant stakeholders, and to gather initial feedback on the proposed solutions, together with suggestions and inputs for their further improvement and future development.
