What is Design Thinking? How is it structured? In which fields can it be applied? In how many different ways can it take shape?
Willemien Visser (The Cognitive Artifacts of Designing, 2006) defines Design Thinking as the set of cognitive, strategic and practical processes through which the design of products, buildings and machines is developed by creative design teams.
In recent years, Design Thinking has played an increasingly important role within organisations, and its use has been shown to improve services and approaches to problem-solving. This is because it is based on the individual involvement of team members, aimed at stimulating each person’s creativity in combination with analytical processes, with the goal of solving complex problems, innovating procedures and identifying new pathways.
In this series of seminars, some of the leading international experts will introduce us to the world of Design Thinking, guiding us through different contexts and experiences and demonstrating its various applications.
