On Sunday, August 10<\/strong>, Ocean Space will exceptionally remain open until 10:00 PM to celebrate the Night of San Lorenzo with a free evening of art, music, and stargazing. In collaboration with the Municipality of Venice-Murano-Burano, the event will take place across the Church and Campo San Lorenzo, offering activities for all ages: children\u2019s workshops, guided tours, live jazz, and sky observation led by the Venice Amateur Astronomers Association.<\/p>\n

Throughout the evening, visitors will also be able to explore the exhibition otras monta\u00f1as, las que andan sueltas bajo el agua<\/em>, with the support of the cultural mediation team, ready to share insights into both the artworks and the church\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

But why August 10?<\/p>\n

Traditionally, the date marks the martyrdom of Saint Lawrence. According to popular belief, the bright trails in the sky are his tears. In reality, they come from the Perseids<\/strong>\u2014a meteor shower caused by fragments of comet Swift-Tuttle entering Earth\u2019s atmosphere every summer. It\u2019s fascinating how language shapes meaning: from \u201cmeteors\u201d to \u201cshooting stars\u201d to \u201ctears\u201d \u2014 different words, same phenomenon.<\/p>\n
